The authors of the article investigated the effect of parameters of the 3D printing Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process and various post-processing treatments on a cellular response. This is an extremely important issue from the medicine and veterinary point of view. A good cellular response means, for example, the possibility of using given material in the production of better implants.
The president of MaterialsCare is the co-author of the article. It was created as a part of the iTE project funded by the National Center of Research and Development. The research will be used by the company for designing of new generation metallic implants, which will have higher similarity to bone tissue than the solutions used so far.
